Welcome to HCPAP!
Hampshire County Pet Adoption Program is not a shelter, but a group of dedicated volunteers that have opened their lives and homes to pets in need. Until they find their forever home, all of the pets in our rescue are fostered in the homes of our volunteers.

Founded on October 1, 1999, HCPAP has specialized in dog rescue, but we do rescue cats sometimes, too. We are based around the Winchester, Virginia area and you can visit us at PetSmart in Winchester, VA on Saturdays.

Take a look at the pets we have available for adoption and if you have questions or are interested in adopting please call or email us!

Buddy

Pit Bull Terrier Mix
Age: 7 Years, Size: Large
Neutered and Current on Vaccinations
In Need of a Foster Home: Yes

Buddy was adopted from our rescue several years ago but was recently returned because his owner passed away. He is fine with most other dogs but can be picky sometimes with who he wants to spend time with. He does need a home without cats. Buddy is housebroken and is pretty laid back. He rides well in the car and LOVES water.
