The first part of this process is one completely for you. You must decide if you are truly ready to adopt
a new companion. Are you financially able to properly care for a new pet? Are you physically able? Does
everyone who is immediately involved agree?

After truly giving it some thought and you are ready...

Fill out an application. You can find applications on this website. If you live far away you can mail, email
or fax the application to be approved before you come the distance. (We must meet you in person. We do
not ship our animals!) You can come to our Adoption Days at PetSmart on Saturdays and fill out an
application in person. If you would like to be ahead you could print out an application and then bring it
with you to PetSmart.

Most applications will be approved quickly, soon after all volunteers have reviewed it, but some may take
longer. In some cases a home visit will be required.

ADOPTIONS ARE ONLY DONE AT PETSMART ON SATURDAYS FROM 11-4.
WE DO NOT DO ANY ADOPTIONS DURING THE WEEK.

If your application is approved you will be able to take your new companion home that day. After paying
the adoption fee you will receive the animal's medical records, lots of coupons, a free small bag of food
(dogs and cats), a bag of various pamphlets and information and of course your new companion.

The last thing that must be done is one that is easy! You must provide love and care for your new
companion. We do not forget our animals after they have been adopted. If you have any questions or
problems after you adopt please call us! We are here to help! We love to hear how they are doing even if
there are no problems. We love to hear about happy endings! Please send a quick email, call or stop by
PetSmart on Saturdays so we can hear and/or see how our friends are doing! We love getting pictures, too!

If It's Not Working Out...

If you find that your new companion is not adjusting well to your household and if things just aren't
working
call us. We will take our animals back if things don't work out. Please do not take them to a
shelter. Even if it is years down the road we want them back. If it is within 30 days of adoption you will
get your money back.

Spay/Neuter Refund

When you have gotten your companion spayed or neutered, which is required, you can send us proof and
you will get your deposit back. Make a copy of the spay/neuter receipt and mail it to us. Please include a
copy of your adoption agreement, as well.

Some people have sent us the spay/neuter receipt but wanted us to keep the deposit as a donation. If you
would like to do this just let us know and thank you!

All donations are tax deductible.
