HCPAP respects your privacy and thinks it should be protected. Our Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is a section of our Terms and Conditions (See "Terms and Conditions"). Please read them both their entirety. This Policy applies to our online website (www.hcpap.com). This Policy outlines the information we collect and how we use it. Your use of our Site constitutes your acceptance of our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. 1. Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information

 

HCPAP collects some personally identifiable information from users who visit our Site. Personal information will be collected from you if you choose to use our email feature. For instance, by using our email feature you must provide us with at least your email address and name. Other types of information collected could be your telephone number, address, company name or household information. Personally identifying information may also be collected if you choose to use the “comment” feature in our "Pet Tips" section.

 

The use of our “Pet Tips” section to post comments/content using social media is done so at your own risk. This feature does not have a limited audience. We urge you to use caution when posting content and never disclose your personal information; it will be accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Please keep in mind that when you use third party platforms to post content/comment on our Site you are also subject to their privacy policies.

 

The personally identifying information we collect about you will be used only as needed. We will use your information to provide you with a service you request. For instance, if you use our email feature requesting us to contact you, we will use your personal information (name, email, etc.) to respond to your request. Another example would be if you have adopted from us, we will use your personal contact information to reach out to you to check up on how the adoption is going. Your personal information will only be shared among HCPAP volunteers on a need-to-know basis.

 

Under no circumstances will we share, sell or distribute your information to third parties.

 

2. Collection and Use of Anonymous Information

 

Some anonymous information may be collected during your use of our Site. This information does not identify you personally. Some of the information collected helps us monitor our website traffic, such as the number of visits to our Site or to particular pages within our Site.

 

The anonymous information we collect from you during the use of our Site is compiled into a collection of data to help us improve our website and make it better suited to the needs of our users.

 

3. Donations Using Third-Party Websites

 

When donating to our rescue through a third party website you are subject to their terms of use and privacy policies. We will have access to some of the information you provide to the third party website when donating, such as: your name, email, address or telephone number. We may use this information to contact you to thank you for your donation, we may post your name on our social media thanking you for your donation or we may post your name on our “Special Thanks” page on our Site. We keep records of who has donated to us and their donation amount. Under no circumstances will we sell, trade or distribute our donor list or your individual information.

 

4. Users Under 13

Our website, including all of its content, information, media, language and features, is not intentionally directed to children under 13 years old. Use of the “Pet Tips” section of our website, including the ability to post personal opinions/content or the use of our email feature is not intended for those under 13 years old. HCPAP makes every effort to not collect any child’s personal information in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If any such information is discovered it will be immediately removed/deleted.

 

5. Third Party Websites

 

HCPAP provides links to third party websites on our Site, but we are not responsible for their use of your personal information. We provide links to other websites in good faith, but you are responsible for reading their Privacy Policy/Terms of Use to understand how your personal information will be collected and used. Use of a link on our Site to connect to a third party website is done so at your own risk.

 

6. Revisions to our Privacy Policy

 

HCPAP reserves the right to revise this Policy at any time without notification to you. We will do so by updating this page. Your continued use of our Site after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the new Policy. The date of the last revision to this Policy is posted at the top of this page.
